Our Story

How it all started...

Harvest Time Fellowship Church was founded in February 2002 in a warehouse located in Medford, Oregon, through the faithful obedience of Bishop Ray and Penny Taylor, who answered God's call to establish a fellowship rooted deeply in His Word and Spirit. The original location—2330 North Pacific Highway—became the starting place for a community that sought to reflect the love, power, and presence of God.

By early spring of 2002, Pastor George Wilson was appointed as Senior Pastor, a position he continues to hold with passion and purpose. In a pivotal act of faith, Pastor Wilson stepped away from his previous ministry in Portland, Oregon to embrace this new journey—nurturing a church founded on biblical principles and built upon the foundation of the Apostles and Prophets, with Jesus Christ Himself as the chief cornerstone.

From the very beginning, Harvest Time Fellowship was marked by a sacred calling: to gather a people saved by grace into the Body of Christ. It was envisioned as a vibrant center for worship, fellowship, spiritual instruction, and ministry—where God’s gifts and callings would flourish among His people.

Expanding the vision...

As the early years unfolded, Harvest Time Fellowship found itself at a crossroads. The warehouse we were leasing—our first home—faced a rent increase that prompted a prayerful search for a location better aligned with our heartbeat: to be nestled in the center of a community, because we believe the church should be its spiritual heart.

That search reached its fulfillment in January 2006, when God opened the door for us to relocate to our current home in Gold Hill, Oregon. From the moment we arrived, the atmosphere shifted—the soil was rich, and the seeds of our calling began to take deeper root. What started with a faithful gathering of around 20 believers quickly grew into a thriving community of over 100 weekly attendees.

With this expansion came a deepening clarity of our mission. We were no longer just establishing a church; we were advancing a movement, actively embracing the vision that God planted within us.

This wasn’t simply growth in numbers—it was growth in spiritual depth, in outreach, and in the tangible impact of God’s presence among His people.

Where we are headed...

Harvest Time Fellowship Church has always been more than a place of worship—it’s a living expression of God’s love in action. That heart for ministry took root early, as far back as 2002, when a local grocery chain began donating bread to the church. From humble beginnings, the Bread Ministry blossomed—expanding to include a bounty of breads, pastries, and pies, served with joy and compassion to those in need throughout our community. It continues to be a vital outreach today, feeding both body and spirit.

Building on that spirit of generosity, we launched the Harvest Time Thrift Store five years ago, born out of a vision to provide quality items at excellent prices. For those without the means to pay, every gift given has been an extension of the riches of God's grace—demonstrating our belief that the church is called to meet both spiritual and practical needs.

As we look to the future, God is stirring our hearts once again. We are actively seeking to expand our building, not only to enhance these ministries but to create dedicated classrooms where small groups can gather, grow, and flourish. We’re called to disciple every age and every stage—from cradle to grave—and that calling fuels our commitment to spiritual education, authentic community, and life transformation.

The path ahead is paved with purpose. We don’t just envision growth—we’re preparing for it. And we believe that as we expand our reach, we will continue to see lives changed and a city impacted by the power of Jesus Christ.
