It is just rain
It is just rain
I went to California last week for work, when I woke up in the morning it was pouring rain.
My heart said I don’t want to do this, I don’t want to be in the rain.
But I knew it was going to be ok when the Word filled my heart to make this dark, cold, raining day better by the moment.
My heart said, this is not “the early or the latter rain,” it was just rain.
The Lord reminded me that the “rain falls on the just and the unjust,” so it is just rain.
When I got to the job site, I saw that the worksite was sheltered and dry.
Thank you, Lord, Ps 94:22 “But the Lord is my defense; and my God is the rock of my refuge.”
He is Jehovah Jireh, my provider.
After a short time of work, it was time to drive home in the rain.
As I drove through the dark cloud day, I was reminded again “It is just rain,” when I looked up and saw through the clouds a window to the blue sky behind the clouds.
Malachi 3:10 reminds me, “Bring all the tithes into the storehouse, That there may be food in My house, And try Me now in this,” Says the Lord of hosts,
“If I will not open for you the windows of heaven
And pour out for you such blessing That there will not be room enough to receive it.”
My God comforts the poor and the needy.
I need this.
Isaiah 45:22
“Look to Me, and be saved,
All you ends of the earth!
For I am God, and there is no other."
It was just rain, but it reminded me of the goodness of my God, our God.
God Bless.
Because of Jesus,
Jerry
